The inventors of Jager used to manufacture vinegar until the Jager recipe was discovered by Curt Mast in 1935. Since the vinegar side of the business eased to operate to allow more focus on the spirit side of the business.
Jager is stored in barrels for 365 days and undergoes 383 quality checks prior to hitting the shelves.
Curt Mast chose the bottle shaped after smashing bottle after bottle onto a floor in order to see which shape was the most resilient.
