Belvedere Vodka is a brand of Polish Rye Vodka. It is named after, Belweder, the Polish presidential palace. It is produced exclusively in Poland in the town of Żyrardów and has worldwide distribution. To the production of Belvedere Vodka, they use a rye that is harvested and simmered at several farming distilleries to form a mash. Enzymes known as amylase and diastase are added to the mash to break the starches down into sugars and speed the fermentation. A first, distillers’ yeast, is to add to the mash, which is then fermented, to 6-8% ABV. The first distillation (also known as the agricultural distillation) takes place here, and the resulting spirit is around 93% Alcohol By Volume.
